Our Infant Program provides a nurturing and safe environment where infants (Sweet Peas) can grow and learn at their own pace. Our highly qualified and trained caregivers provide individualized care and attention to meet each Sweet Pea’s unique needs. New families should plan to spend a few hours in the first two weeks before starting to introduce their Sweet Pea to the environment and start the bonding process! This makes transitioning to the desired schedule so much easier for the child, parents, and staff! Upon registration, parents will receive our Transition-In Guide!
Feeding Schedule
Our caregivers work with parents to establish and follow the “Needs and Services Plan” feeding schedule that best meets your Sweet Pea’s dietary needs. Parents are responsible for providing all Breast milk / formula bottles, meals and snacks for this stage of life. No food or drink sharing is allowed between Sweet Peas. This ensures your baby’s dietary safety, especially for those with food allergies.
Peppertree Schools requests that only ‘healthy’ meals be provided for Sweet Peas.
“Needs and Services Plans” are update at least quarterly or sooner as needed to reflect the changing needs of your sprouting Sweet Pea.
Individual Care
We understand that every Sweet Pea is unique and has their own needs and preferences. That’s why our Infant Program provides individualized care and attention to meet each Sweet Pea’s needs. Our caregivers work closely with parents to develop a “Needs and Services” plan that meets each Sweet Pea’s needs, including feeding, napping, diapering, and play.
Nurturing Environment
We understand that the transition from home to daycare can be challenging for both parents and their Sweet Peas, that’s why we strive to create a warm and welcoming environment that feels like “home away from home”. Our caregivers work to build strong bonds with each Sweet Pea to ensure they feel loved, secure, and happy in our 4-1 or better Sweet Pea to Caregiver ratio!
To help new families transition to our caregivers, parents are expected to visit with their Sweet Pea during the first two weeks prior to start date. This starts the “Parent Caregiver Relationship”, ensuring that you and your Sweet Pea feel comfortable being in this new environment! Parent’s and our Team love this gentle approach!
Napping and Bedding
We provide a safe and comfortable sleeping environment for our Sweet Peas, including personal cribs, and, following your instructions given in the Needs and Services Plan regarding your Sweet Pea’s sleep schedule. Our caregivers monitor each Sweet Pea’s sleep and will communicate with parents to adjust the schedule as needed to ensure your Sweet Pea is well-rested and comfortable!
We provide fresh and sanitized bedding, daily, for your Sweet Pea’s sleeping needs, including room and individual sound machines for peaceful slumber!
Diaper Services
We provide diaper-changing services plus diapers and wipes for your Sweet Pea every two hours or sooner as need throughout the day. Parents can provide personal preference diapers if they would like with no tuition change.
Our caregivers work to maintain a clean and hygienic environment, using Health Department best practices to ensure highest quality of care!
Play and Enrichment
We believe that play is an essential part of your Sweet Pea’s development. Our caregivers provide a variety of age-appropriate toys and activities that promote gross and fine motor skills, sensory development, and socialization!
Your Sweet Pea will enjoy music & instruments, wiggles & songs, storytime, art & sensory, and lots of verbal attention with eye contact!
Communication with Parents
We understand the importance of open communication between caregivers and parents. Our caregivers provide Daily Report updates on each Sweet Pea’s activities, feeding, napping, diapering, and progress! We also encourage parents to communicate with us regularly to ensure we are meeting each Sweet Pea’s basic & developmental needs!
