At Peppertree, our Pre-Preschool Program is a stepping stone from our Toddler Program to our Preschool Program. The curriculum is
thoughtfully designed to match the rapid developmental progress children experience during their first five years.
Breakfast, Snack & Lunch Schedule
Parents will provide a nutritious Lunch for their Speckled Frogs from home daily, including breakfast if needed for early Breakfast Club drop-offs. Peppertree Ranch House provides healthy nutritious snack mid-morning and mid-afternoon! Breakfast and Lunch is not provided by Peppertree Ranch House.
Speckled Frogs will have their breakfast supported before 9:00 am and mid-morning snack at 10:00am. Lunch is supported at 11:30 each day, eating together with their classmates, with another snack time offered at 3:00pm.
Parents should provide their Scout with a labeled water bottle to drink from throughout the day. We will refill the water bottle as needed with fresh filtered water!
No food or drink sharing is allowed between children. This ensures your child’s dietary safety, especially those with food allergies.
Classroom Environment
We understand that Speckled Frogs need a safe and nurturing environment to foster curiosity and independence and our Pre-Preschool classroom is thoughtfully organized to cater to this transitional age and stage of learning.
A balance of Self-Direction and Structure is important in promoting growth and learning. With our primary focus in social / emotional and language development we believe in empowering our Speckled Frogs by creating an environment that fosters self-awareness and healthy boundaries, verbal negotiation, and age appropriate responsibility, using our unique Full Circle Communication process.
In applying our unique approaches, our Speckled Frogs learn to navigate through their day comfortably and confidently, cultivating self-discipline and positive self-esteem, creating lasting friendships and super Joyful Learners!
Our wonderful teachers model these skills and provide guidance to our bouncy friends using our Interactive Teaching approach! Their expertise and care ensure that Speckled Frogs feel safe, confident, knowing what to expect as they leap through each exciting day!
Napping and Bedding
As part of their developmental growth, Speckled Frogs are offered a regular nap schedule, roughly two-hours midday between 12:30pm and 2:30pm.
We offer comfy mats during nap time. Mats are covered with a fresh home provided sheet and blanket. All nap items are sent home at weeks end for washing and returned to school the following week.
Comfort objects, such as a favorite blanket, pacifier, lovie or stuffy, to use during nap time are welcome in this program!
Diaper Services and Potty Training
We provide diaper-changing services as well as Diapers and Wipes roughly every two hours or soon as needed throughout the day. Parents do not need to provide diapers for Speckled Frogs, however, parents can provide personal preference diapers if they would like with no tuition change.
Though Speckled Frogs need not be potty-trained to join our Pond Room we are happy to support parents interested in our potty-training process. We work with parents to ensure consistency between home and school during the potty-training process. Our staff is patient and kind, understanding that this process happens when the child is ready.
Play and Enrichment
At Peppertree Schools we know that play is a critical part of a child’s development.
Our Pre-Preschool Program is designed to provide Speckled Frogs with a variety of activities that support their development. In our program Speckled Frogs will have the opportunity to engage in small group play, where they can build, craft, explore, and pretend. We also make sure to give our bouncy friends plenty of outdoor playtime, where they can practice playing in larger groups, and use their communication and social skills.

Communication with Parents
We believe that open communication with parents is essential for providing the best possible care for their Speckled Frogs. We provide daily verbal updates on daily routine, activities and progress, as well as sending out monthly Calendars and News Letters! We also, encourage parents to communicate with us about any concerns or questions they may have. Parent meetings are wonderful, and encouraged!
